Santa Cruz HT13 - Old Growth Redwood & Honduran Mahogany
Designed in collaboration with guitar legend and educator Happy Traum, the Santa Cruz HT/13 combines the comfort and responsiveness of a smaller guitar with a remarkably full, authoritative voice. Its salvaged old-growth redwood top is paired with genuine Honduran mahogany back and sides, while Adirondack spruce bracing secured with hot hide glue gives the instrument exceptional sensitivity, warmth, and clarity. The deep body and 13-fret neck joint add richness and power without sacrificing balance, making the HT/13 equally rewarding for fingerstyle arrangements, vocal accompaniment, and articulate flatpicking. Appointments include a custom sunburst designed specifically for redwood, abalone rosette and purfling, and a Happy Traum signature inlay on the 18th fret.

From Santa Cruz:
Happy Traum taught the world how to play guitar. This includes Richard Hoover, who learned from Happy's "Fingerpicking Styles for Guitar" when he was just a teenager, years before the two would forge their friendship.
To be able to build a signature model decades later for such an icon in the guitar world is not only an honor, but a privilege that Santa Cruz Guitar Company takes very seriously.
The HT/13 combines genuine Honduras Mahogany back and sides paired with salvaged, old growth Redwood and Adirondack bracing with hot hide glue in a small but deep bodied guitar that delivers a bright, rich and clear tone with quick responsiveness, hearty low end and exceptional volume.
